இடைவேளைக்கு பிறகு ஒரு அஞ்சு நிமிஷம் thriller movie மாறி திகில கொடுத்தது super
பியா வ கடைசி வரைக்கும் casual ஆ காட்டுனது. ஜீவா பியாவ love பண்ணலன்னு சொன்னோன 'இல்ல நான் உன்ன தான் love பண்ணுவேன்' னு மொக்கைய போடாம move on பண்ணது good.
கார்த்திகா dinner போலாமானு கேட்ட ஒடனே ஜீவாவோட படபடப்பு and the entire scene in the hotel reminded me of my story in my blog.

ஒரு முக்கியமா கதாபாத்திரம் இறந்த ஒடனே ஒரு duet... அதுவும் அந்த duet start ஆற முன்னாடி ரெண்டு பெரும் சிரிச்சிகிட்டே duet குள்ள போறது செம கடி... [இப்ப தான டா அழுதுகிட்டு இருந்தீங்க... அதுக்குள்ள duet னா இளிப்பு வருதா? அப்புடீன்னு கேக்க தூணுது...]
"என்ன நடந்துச்சுன்னு சொல்லு" அப்புடின்னு கேட்ட ஒடனே ஒரு பாட்டு... flashback நாளே பாட்டுத்தான் ஆரம்பிகனுமா? ஒரு படத்துக்கு அஞ்சு பாட்டுங்கர rules அ ஒழிச்சிட்டா ரொம்ப நல்லா இருக்கும்... இதுனாலேயே ஒரு படம்னா atleast ரெண்டு மொக்க பாட்டு இருக்குது... அதுக்காக ஒரு 10 நிமிஷம் மொக்க வேற... But this movie is much better to handle this 5-song-per-movie rule

என்னக்கு என்னமோ இந்த படம் ரொம்ப புடிச்சிருந்துச்சு... Company இருந்தா இன்னொரு தடவ கூட போய் பாக்கலாம்னு இருக்கேன்... So, நீங்க இன்னும் இந்த படத்த பாக்கலேன்னா கண்டிப்பா போய் பாருங்க... பாத்துட்டு உங்க கருத இங்க பரிமாறுங்க...

How I Met Your Mother

Before telling anything about this serial I want to write about, I want to tell you a small incidence (which you can guess will have absolutely no bearing with anything this post has to convey). I was on call talking to my friend in Tamil in my office and after I cut the call, my colleague (and a good friend) who does not know Tamil asked me, "What was the word you used... something like 'theri ma'"? I told him it is a Tamil word 'Theriyuma' (தெரியுமா) which means 'do you know'. He told me, in Hindi 'Theri Maa' is a bad word which means 'Your (theri) Mother (maa)'. Ever since, I have to admit, I feel a little guilt and smile whenever I use that word and be careful that it does not sound like it and give more emphasis on TheriYUma.

Why I told about that incidence is that, 'your mother' is one of the most sensitive bad words. So, just by looking at the title of the serial and having known that it is an adult comedy genre, one may tend to think it is about a friend having met and got together with a friend's mother and narrating the story. Though it is an extreme perverted thought, a serial from Hollywood can do anything and go to any extent, as we know. But the thing is, this serial is NOT too much in adult comedy, and not too less to be viewed with family. Though there is nothing too much visually, almost all of the dialogues are related to sex in one way or another.

Oh... yes... I have to say something about the serial right? This is a narration of a father to his children about how he met his wife (their mother). It is not simply how he met his wife, but what are all the paths he went through before he met his wife. He tells about his best friends and about their life also. In fact, mostly about his friends' life. This being the theme, and one of his best friends being a complete pervert and a womanizer, and another friend being a very casual and open girl/woman and another two being a couple who are madly madly in love, all you can expect is hilarious jokes about/around sex.

I have to mention about the character Barney, who is the most amazing character in this serial. He is the driving factor and the most hilarious character in this serial. Yes, he is the pervert and his jokes are hilarious. Will I recommend this to my friends? Of course, yes. But not if don't like such comedy. But I would recommend/request you to try to watch at least the first 3 or 4 episodes (of the first season) before you decide anything about this. If you like it, the rest of the serial will be a treat to you. Try to watch it and share your views with me.

த: படத்துல பல பாட்டு இருந்தும் படம் கொஞ்சம் நேரம்தான் வந்துருக்கு... என்ன பண்ணுறது?
கௌ: சார்... இதுக்கு மேல படத்த கொலப்பவே முடியாது... I can't do anything more...
த: ஆனா படம் at least 2 hours 40 minutes இருக்கணுமே...

தமிழ் படம் - ஒரு தமிழ் அலசல்

ங்கொய்யால... ங்கொக்காமக்க... superu... awesome... முடியல... இப்புடியெல்லாம்எழுதனும்னு படம் ஆரம்பிகுறதுக்கு முன்னாடியே முடிவு பண்ணிட்டேன் :) ஏன்னா படம் director பேரு அப்புடி ;) ஆனா படம் ஆரம்பிச்ச கொஞ்சநேரத்திலேயே அட விட நெறையா சொல்லலாம்னு முடிவு பண்ணிட்டேன்... படம் அந்த அளவுக்கு அருமை..

இந்த அளவுக்கு ஒரு தமிழ் படம் இதுக்கு முன்னாடி வந்ததே இல்லங்க... ரஜினி, கமல், விஜய், விஜயகாந்த், விக்ரம், சூர்யா, பிரபுதேவா, யாரையுமே விடாம தைரியமா கிழி கிழின்னு கிழிச்சுடாங்க... குறிப்பா கந்தசாமி படத்த ஓட்டுனது உச்சம்... சிம்புவ நாரடிச்சதும் என் மனச ரொம்ப குளிர வச்சுச்சு... சின்ன சின்னவிசயத்தையும் யோசிச்சு எந்த அளவுக்கு ஓட்ட முடியுமோ அந்த அளவுக்குஓட்டிடாங்க..

ரொம்ப ஓவரா போகாம அதே நேரத்துல பயந்துகிட்டு back அடிக்காம perfect spoof படம் குடுத்துருக்காங்க... எல்லாரும் கண்டிப்பா இந்த படத்த theaterல பாக்கணும்னு ஆசை படுறேன்... இந்த படம் hit ஆனா தான் இந்த மாறி நெறைய படம் வரும். This movie has the capability to become a cult movie for Tamil movie industry. அது நம்ப கைலதான் இருக்கு.

ஒரே ஒரு விஷயம் தான் இந்த படத்துல ஒரு பெரிய disappointment... heroine... இத விட ஒரு கேவலமான heroine கண்டுபிடிக்கவே முடியாது. கொஞ்சம் கூட... ஒரு formalityகு கூட நடிகல :( ஒரு வேளை ரொம்ப அழகுன்னாலும் ok. அதுவும் இல்ல... ஏன் தான் அந்த தெண்டத்த போட்டாங்கன்னுதான் தெரியல... ஆனா heroine ரோல் இந்த படத்துல ரொம்ப கொஞ்சம்தான். So, பெரிய பிரச்சனை இல்ல...

சில எடத்துல கொஞ்சம் மொக்கையா இருந்தது உண்மைதான்... but it was quite okay... ஒரு வேண்டுகோள்... திரை விமர்சனம் கண்டிப்பா பாக்காதீங்க... படத்தை theater ல பாக்குற த்ரில் போயிடும்... இதுக்கு மேல என்ன சொல்லுறதுன்னு தெரியல... கண்டிப்பா theater ல பாத்துட்டு உங்க கருத்த இங்க commentஆ சொல்லுங்க... After the ******* Gowtham Menon has damaged my name, this guy, the director of the movie has stood up to the greatness of the name (என் பேருதான் :த ). நன்றி... :)

Mickey Blue Eyes - A Treat For Hugh Grant Fans

Mickey Blue Eyes is one of the best Hugh Grant movies I have ever seen, of course, I haven't seen all of his movies, but only seven of them. This movie has got Hugh Grant written all over it, his mannerism, his wit, his clumsiness, etc. [I remember reading from somewhere that, usage of etc. implies that the party does not know anything more, but desperately wants to make it appear otherwise, and it is true here :)]

This movie is about an ordinary man, Mickey (Hugh Grant), falling in love with a mobster's daughter Gina (Jeanne Tripplehorn). Gina, though loves him very much, rejects him because she is afraid that, like every other boy friends of hers, Micheal will also be used by her family to do mobster business. He promises that he will be very careful and they get happily engaged.

As you can easily guess, he gets involved in a mobster business. From that point, you can't stop laughing. That is the reason, I loved this movie so much. This movie has more humor quotient than any of his other movies. Though all of his movies will make you (and keep you) laugh(ing), this make make you fall from your seats laughing. I have to confess that I am a huge Hugh Grant fan and I may be biased.

The positives about this movies: Hugh Grant, lots of hilarious scenes, great acting from all of the cast. The negatives: Hugh and Jeanne didn't seem to really be in love in that movie, though, their dialogues and situation indicate that, we couldn't find in their eyes; but screw that, this is a comedy movie :). But this movie is a must watch, IMHO.

Avatar - A Must Watch

[This post does not contain any spoilers, nothing more than what you would already know by the trailers.]

The first thing which comes to my mind when I think about Avatar is, the largest queue for the restroom I have ever stood in. It is a very big movie and in the theater I went, there was no interval at all (may be because they thought, people may run off with the 3D glass). So, right after the movie went, all the crowd went to restroom instead of the parking area :). So, if you are going to this movie in a theater which does not give interval, make sure you drink little water and voluntarily answer nature's call before entering :). On a serious note, I remembered dodging and ducking for the missiles and other objects. It was childish to do that, but was cool!

You will probably know more about the movie, about the never-seen-before stunning visual effects and never-heard-before amazing sound effects etc. You will also know that, if you haven't seen this movie till now, you will hesitate to ping your friend as he/she may ask 'you haven't seen Avatar? what a waste you are'. You may also probably know the history of this movie, that James Cameron had this movie in his mind for more than a decade and had to wait till now for the technology to grow and that they had ordered a special camera from Sony for this movie etc.

So, what can I talk about this movie here? I liked the movie very much but the opinions I hear from my friends greatly vary. "It was okay..", "It is very big...", "We can watch only once", "We have to watch at least once", etc. One of my friends told, "It was the best movie I have ever watched in my life so far, I would say". So, why would such an amazing great movie have a lot of opinion against it?

It is a very big movie, 2 hours 40 minutes
The story is predictable (and the last few minutes becomes predictable in the middle of the movie). (When the hero goes there and sees the female alien, we could easily guess that he is going to fall in love and he is going to defend them against the humans. Hmm... considering how predictable humans are, I think, if at all such mission happens in the future, only castrated people would be sent to such missions :D )
To establish the world of Pandora, there are some scenes which are prolonged. For instance, taming his giant-bird.
There are a lot of touching sentiment scenes, to establish their culture and to make us think that *The humans in Pandora are assholes* (which is true ;)). While this is NOT a negative point and it actually adds value, some people may not like that much sentiment when they have come for hardcore CGI action.
Some of the scenes resemble from other movies. The way the humans go tot he Avatar body resembled Matrix; and the ferocious animal which attacks the final enemy, the way it roared and jumped reminded me of the roar and attack of the Lion in the Narnia climax.

Hmm... these points, though don't seem bad, may make some guys hesitate to say that it is an awesome movie. I am sure that everyone will have two opinions "It is a great movie" and "Hmm.. it is an okay movie". The fantasy world is so amazingly depicted and the close relationship of Na'vis with the nature is so emotionally pictured that will make us long for such a world. Don't miss this movie if you have missed it till now. Enjoy the stunning 3D effects and the sound effects. You are now free to blast me with your views ;)

UnnaiPol Oruvan & Eeram

[If you don't know anything about these movies please don't read any further. If you know something (that UnnaiPol Oruvan is a full length romantic comedy movie and Eeram is a same old College teen movie) and if you don't have problems with mild spoilers go ahead and read. This post may contain mild spoilers, which WONT spoil the joy of watching the movie if you have read/seen other reviews.]

In last weekend, I watched two delightful movies in big screen. I fancy saying "I watch only English movies (or even Korean movies), but not Tamil movies as Tamil Movies always suck". But these two movies are exceptions. They are must watch for any movie fans. These movies gave me some hope back to watch Tamil movies.

UnnaiPol Oruvan:
What a delightful movie! No build-ups, no punch dialogues, no stupid junk fights, no usage of songs to show vulgar content, no irrelevant attempt-humor, etc. This movie is devoid of all the bull shit things I hate about Tamil movies. Plus, it has Kamal in his best! But if anyone fancies saying "The original movie was much better... this movie is not upto the mark... etc." they may sulk after this movie. If you are not among them, you will definitely enjoy the movie.

Thing(s) that made me like the movie:

Great acting from Kamal and Mohal.
The two police characters. Never seen such real majestic looking police men in movies (and in real life also :) )
Mild humor in the middle of the serious movie. (it may irritate critics who will say 'it was not needed and was forcibly injected')
Simple and very fast screenplay.
Devoid of bull shits.

Thing(s) that sucked:

Why Kamal planted fake bags when he could have simply told the police? One original bag would have been enough. It was forcibly shown for the audience to feel the pressure which was a bit unsatisfying.
In the starting Mohan Lal addressing Kamal without respect as though Kamal had screwed his life, though at the end he addressed him with respect. It was also illogically shown for the audience to feel pressure. A little bit unsatisfying.

Of course, these are very very minor things. But the movie is a MUST WATCH, in big screen.

Eeram:
A good movie, though had some bull shits, over all, it was delight to watch the movie. I wished at least in this horror movie, the spirit is sensible and logical (you may ask, "when you accept ghosts themselves as logical, why in the dash you want logic?"), but the ghost failed there. Even though there are a lot of things which made me frown, this movie is far far better than many other junk movies. I wish everyone who reads this post watch this movie also in a big screen (not in your 40" LCD TV, but in theater)

Things which I liked about this movie:

Sindhu Menon :) for her acting
Saranya Mohan for her acting
Sindhu Menon and Saranya Mohan for their beauty
Camera! The way the water comes was pictured in an awesome way, for one instance!
The Mazhaiye Mazhaiye song and the intense romance between the characters... hmm... simply awesome (it has been long time since a song showed such genuine pure intense romance, IMHO)
How, there are so many AH in the world who ruin innocent people life, is explained.
And the most important thing: The moral of the movie :). Past is past and what you can expect most is a trustful present and future.
Again, no vulgar in the name of songs. I was so happy that they had not ruined the decency of the movie with a R rated dash song. (IMHO, if a director wants to give a decent movie, they should not have an item song. A very good family movie having an item song is like having a full meals with so many varieties of food items and then serving a bit of shit in the corner of the plantain leaf. In case of Kandhasaamy, since the whole movie was shit, I wont complain too much about it)

Thing(s) that sucked:

The problem with all the spirits that had come in the entire history of movies. They are senseless, stupid and illogical. When they can control everyone and everything why don't they directly go and hunt the main target??? :(
Why didn't the spirit help her sister when being molested? Why didn't that stupid spirit didn't come and help the police till he was pierced in one foot by a spear?
An ordinary business man fighting with a AC (of height 6.5 feet) and then winning the fight.
An ordinary business man becoming like a serial killer. The character was inconsistent.
And other minor things which can be easily forgiven and forgotten.

A Walk To Remember - A Touching Walk!

I will make sure that I don't spoil your enjoyment(?) of watching this movie by this post. A Walk To Remember is a romantic drama movie which will surely let you think about the movie for some time after it is over. A movie about true and pure love without involving forced humor, but involving more essence of love, will describe this movie better.

This is (not yet another) movie about the love between two completely different characters who have known each other for years. Jamie is an easy target for bullies because of the decent dress she wears and Landon is a typical high school kid who does not care about others. Though they have known for a long time, they are not friends, until, Landon is forced to spend some time with her for some time.

Within the very little time, Landon falls for Jamie despite her warning. What will it feel like if there are two perfect lovers who have found each other, the real other, after so long of an acquaintance. To what extend the real love will go? What and all will you do for your love of your life? How will you feel if love is showered from the screen?

I can't tell much without spoiling the movie, so I don't want to continue this post. Pros: Love, Acting, Intense Chemistry. Cons: First fifteen minutes loosely linked to the movie. NondhaaSaaaaamy - 10 WTF about this movie!

[Obviously, this post is going to be Not_Recommended_For_All. So, readers' discretion is required. Obviously, this post will have SPOILERS! If you are a Vikram fan, please don't read any further.]

The intro of Vikram was awful. His dance (or fight?) in a cock's disguise was bull shit. Especially, his dance in telling his name. Why did they waste about 15 to 20 minutes for such an aweful intro? WTF??
The Alegra dance - WTF. Shreya wanted her father to watch the dance and the costume was ****. I don't know what kind of father will enjoy watching his daughter dancing like that. Of course, it is possible for that kind of father who will make his daughter act like being raped by a serial rapist. WTF.
Vikram always preferring to fight with his eyes closed. WTF. Why all the multi billionaire enemies employ assassins who don't even have guns?. WTF.
The explanation they give for the cock fight. They are using tape recorders for audio and ropes for fight. Why don't they use CD player :)? WTF
Shreya trying to simulate an attempted rape inside a CBI office. How and why should she be such a dumb ****. WTF
Vikram's lady getup and the dance/fight for 15+ minutes. Aweful WTF.
The fight with the Mexican gangsters in the middle of the field. OMG. Who would think like that? What kind of a bullshit-aweful-******-*******-*******-*******-******* fight is that? A bunch of professional assassins not able to hit a guy who is blind-folded. The biggest WTF.
So many individual cases to establish what he does. I wanted to shout: "Okay... we get it. He answers the requests. What is next". WTF
"You have to cut her off. She is risky" "Okay... I know how to end this" and then he goes to Shreya's house and there is this R rated song (meeyav meeyav pooo... ultimate bull shit). Oh... this is how you end everything? WTF.
The camera was plain awful. Even if hero is not fighting, the camera is fighting and flashing. I got headache. I literally had to close my eyes for some fight sequences. The starting of the movie itself they were flashing a temple. Who in the fuck gave the idea, I don't know. It was awful. People may puke because of the camera effects. WhatTheFuck?

And this post... why should I write for this movie first? This is the first Tamil movie I am writing about. Why should this post be as junk as the movie? I don't know... If you have plenty of time, plenty of patience, and strong eyes, go watch the movie.

The good thing about the movie is, the concept is good (as long as you are not multi-millionaire :)) and Vikram looks handsome. If the movie is 1 hour 30-40 minutes, it would have been good, I think.

Small Time Crooks - Big Time Comedy!!!

It has been a long time since I have talked about any movies in this blog. I am sorry about that. It does not mean that I haven't seen any good movie in the meantime. As a matter of fact, I had watched a lot of good movies which deserve a post about them. But today, I saw a brilliant movie which has triggered by enthu very much to write a post. It is Small Time Crooks by Woody Allen.

Woody Allen is known for his one-liners. The entire movie is based on one-liners. You have to follow the dialogues to deeply enjoy the movie. The movie may look absolutely ridiculous to absolutely brilliant depends on how much you follow the dialogues or how much you love wit. Of course, this is the first Woody Allen's movie I had watched, but these are facts about Woody Allen.

This movie also follow the same principle. Don't take anything serious and just be ready to laugh and then watch this movie. This movie starts with a loser with less brain and his two more friends who are more stupid planning to rob a bank. What happens between a husband and his wife after they get enormously rich is the theme. They story is not so great, but the screenplay and dialogues were extremely hilarious.

Woody Allen's character with his innocent face and meager brain planning to do a master plan to rob a bank is hilarious. His wife Franchy (Tracey Ullman) making fun of his stupidity throughout the movie with witty and timely dialogues is awesome. What can I say more? Just watch the movie if you get a chance and have a big laughing time!

'Wall-E' Vs 'Bolt' Vs 'Kung-Fu Panda'

I love animated movies. Whether they are for action or comedy or sentiment, if it an animation movie, I would see it many times. Recently, I had seem three very beautiful animation movies. Yes, the three Oscar nominated movies: Wall-E, Bolt, and Kung-Fu Panda.

First let me start with Wall-E. This is yet another brilliant movie from Pixar Animation Studio. I have an equation that 'if it is a movie from Pixar, it would be brilliant and excellent'. Wall-E was no exception to this. The animation was excellent. The core of the movie is 'love at first sight' and 'go green'. The story is very much complicated and for about 30% movie, it would be disturbing to see huge mountains of rusty, dusty, waste materials.

But Wall-E has a lot of loopholes in the plot. Of course, animated movies can defy logic, but it offended my intellect to see an always-flying-robot with parts that are not screwed to each other, and a space craft travelling beyond galaxies in very very less time, etc. But the romantic part of the movie was awesome. The way Wall-E says "Eve" and the way Eve says "Wall-E", was so romantic. Also, this movie lagged to drive me into watching it many times. So, I would say, this is the least favourite among these most beautiful movies.

Next movie I want to discuss is *Bolt*. The story is less complicated than Wall-E with more comedy and strong sentiments. The first 15 minutes of the movie would be awesome, like watching Matrix as an animated movie. The Rhino character of the movie is the driving factor that could easily make you watch the move (at least some part of it) over and over again.

Though the climax was too good, it seemed as though it was deliberately injected, that Bolt uses all of his imaginary super powers to save the climax. Though it was too much predictable and somewhat sucks when you watch it for 3+ times, the sentiment and the music would keep you going. For me, Bolt worked out better than Wall-E for its comedy and sentimental aspect.

Finally, it is the 'Kung-Fu Panda'. The story is very straight forward and very simple. A big fat panda has to defeat one of the greatest kung-fu champion. How he learns and manages to defeat is the movie. Though the story is simple, the animation is AWESOME!. If you are even remotely a fan of action movies, this would easily be your most favourite movie. The action sequences when Tai Lang escapes from the prison, when Furious-Five fight Tai Lang, when Shifu fights Tai Lang, and the climax fight with Po, are are simply awesome. You could watch any number of times, the escape from the prison action sequence.

I love stunning action sequences and 'Kung-Fu Panda' gave the best. So, I would rate Kung-Fu Panda as my most favourite among these three movies. The only thing that annoyed me was how the hero realizes the meaning of the Dragon Scroll. His father's explanation was clumsy. The hero asks some question and his father suddenly answers something completely different answer and makes the hero realize things. The dialogues should have been more pleasing there, as it is one of the most important things in the movie.

All these three movies are sweet, brilliant and lovely. Watch them and let me know your order. My order is: Wall-E <= Bolt <= Kung-Fu Panda. What is yours? Click here to see my favourite dialog in Bolt.

Mission: Michelle Pfeiffer

It has been long since I have written about a movie. It does not mean that I haven't seen movies nor does it mean I haven't loved any movie in this time spam. In fact, I have seen some good number of movies. But this blog is not about any one of the movie I had seen. This is about my new mission which I have named: Mission - Michelle Pfeiffer.

It all started on One Fine Day. I am not only meaning that literally :). I have become a fan of one of the greatest actresses ever, IMHO, Michelle Pfeiffer. I am not sure how many of you even heard of her name or how many of you at least know that such an actress exist. But, she is great, beautiful, charming, fabulous, fantabulous, etc. and quite talented.

'One Fine Day' is the first Michelle Pfeiffer (and George Clooney) movie I saw. I liked it soooo much that I had seen several times and became fan of her (and George Clooney). Then because of my close friend's suggestion I saw *I am Sam*, one of the most sentimental movies. Surprisingly, MP was the leading actress in that movie. Then *I could never be your woman*. I liked all the movies and her acting in all these movies was excellent.

Then, I decided that I have to watch all her movies. I have to admit that, I like Reese Witherspoon, Keira Knightley, Meg Ryan, Marisa Tomie, Ratchel McAdams, Amy Adams, etc. But I didn't get the idea of covering all the movies of a particular actress. I don't know why I came up with a mission only for MP (MP is NOT a sex bomb:)... FYI for those who might have thought of this possibility).

I now have almost all of her movies except some 5 movies, which I am planning to buy as DVD. I am watching one by one of her movies. Till now I have covered in the order from 'I could never be your woman': The Fabulous Baker Boys, Into The Night, The Story of Us, The Deep End Of Ocean, Grease 2, Frankie and Johnny, White Oleander, and Dangerous Minds. Among these, I am Sam, The Fabulous Baker Boys, The Story of Us, The Deep End Of Ocean, White Oleander, and Dangerous Minds deserves a blog about them (and they are in the making :)).

Some interesting facts: MP always look ten years younger than her actual age. In *I Could Never Be Your Woman*, she acts as a 40 year old woman when she was in real 50 years old. In *I Could Never Be Your Woman*, *Into The Night*, and *Frankie and Johnny* she explicitly says 'I am not as young as I look'. In *One Fine Day*, and *White Oleander* other characters say 'She is the most beautiful woman'. In *Frankie and Johnny* and *Dangerous Minds* MP's character was beaten by her boy friend\husband when she was pregnant and had to abort the child.

That is all I will say now. I will update you guys once I finish all her movies. If you get a chance, watch the movies I have referred. Good Luck!

[PS: When I told about this mission to my father and my sister and to one of my friends, they said sarcastically "Wow... what a noble mission?" :). I believe that is what you guys also think :P.]

Win A Date With Tad Hamilton - A Winner?

If you have been following this blog, by this time you could have understood that I love Romantic-Comedy movies. Even an okay movie would seem very good for me if the genre is romantic-comedy. In that line, *Win a Date with Tad Hamilton* is the movie I had enjoyed recently.

Rosalee (Kate Bosworth) is from a small town working in a super market. The branch manager, Pete is a good friend of Rosalee for about 22 years. He has been in love with her all the time. Though he deserves to work in a bigger branch, he does not leave only for her.

Rosalee is a great fan of a famous hero Tad Hamilton. She wins a lucky draw contest called *Win a Date With Tad Hamilton*. During the date, Tad falls heavily for Rosalee's beauty. After the date, Rosalee comes back to her town. Surprisingly, Tad also comes to the town to spend time with her.

Pete does his best to make her realize the nature of heroes in Hollywood. But Tad, with his natural charm, easily controls Rosalee. When Tad has to return to LA, he asks Rosalee also to go with him. Rosalee, with some hesitation accepts his invite. But one thing is sure... if she goes to LA, she is gone forever and Pete could never get her back.

What will happen to these three people is the climax. I have to admit that, it is not the greatest movie you are going to watch, but it would surely be a good, decent romantic comedy movie. Red Eye - Red In Thrill

Racheal McAdams is one of my recent favourite heroines. This is the third movie of her, I really enjoyed watching, the first being *The Notebook* and another being *Mean Girls*. *The Notebook* being a top-class romantic drama and *Mean Girls* being a good teen movie, and this, *Red Eye* being a good thriller.

Lisa (Rachel McAdams) the manager of a star hotel 'Lux Atlantic' in

Miami when returning from Texas, meets a complete stranger Jack (Cillian Murphy) in the airport accidentally. They both get attracted to each other on their first sight. By chance, they are happened to travel in the same flight. They both flirt for some time and part.

Ironically, it so happens that Jack sits adjacent to Lisa. With good friendly talks and pranks the flight takes off. Since Lisa had already told him that she is afraid of flying, Jack asks questions about Lisa's family when the flight takes off. After they have reached the altitude and the turbulence stops, Lisa thanks Jack to have distracted her from the turbulence.

With the same lovely cute face, Jack tells that he was not distracting her, but keeping the focus on her and her father. Slightly confused and a little scared, she inquires why he would keep the focus on her father. His answer starts the actual movie and Lisa comes to knows that everything that happened till that time with that guy is not by chance... but there was something big happening.

What is that he expects out of her and how could she even escape from this mess is the rest of the movie. Most of the movie happens in the airplane. The movie has some big logical mistakes as all their conversations happen in the flight and no one even knows about it. People don't even turn back when he hits her. If you are ready for the thrill, you can forget about these plot holes and enjoy the ride.

I liked the movie as it had started with a romantic-comedy kind of things and moving in to a suspence thriller and ending with gripping chases and hide-and-seek-for-life things. It is a good thriller with not-so-much gore. If you like suspence-thriller movies, this is one movie you can definitely hang out with. Just Like Heaven is the second Reese Witherspoon movie I watched, first being Legally Blonde. It is always a pleasure to watch a romantic comedy movie with a pretty heroine, beautiful cinematography and brilliant music. Just Like Heaven happens to have all these three. A pleasant movie with a pleasant climax, so, this movie is in my favourite list.

Elizabeth is a workoholic doctor who spends most of her time in hospital. When is going for a blind date, she meets with an accident. David (Mark Ruffalo), a widow man comes to Elizabeth's appartment for rent. After some time, he encounters Elizabeth in their appartment, Elizabeth being a ghost, and not even knowing her name for sure. Though David being a civilian, he only could see and hear Elizabeth's spirit.

Don't judge the movie with the basic theme. It may sound childish or rubbish or foolish to hear a story like this: a woman's spirit with a man and he alone could see the spirit and all. I have to agree that the basic theme is childish, but what is more important is the situations and emotions and sentiments that could only be brought by these kind of what-if movies.

David agrees with Elizabeth's spirit to help it uncover what really happened to her. The more time they spend together, they fall in love with each other; yes, Dave falls in love with a ghost or spirit of a woman. Both David and the spirit is pushed to ut most shock when they find what happened to her. David, believes that, he can bring her back alive and tries to do his best. What really happened to Lizze and why Dave alone could see her and what happened to Dave's love with Elizabeth is the rest of the story.

Though the story may not be impressive, the screenplay and the chemistry between Reese With

erspoon and Mark Ruffalo and wonderful music makes this movie a worth watching one. Though this movie may not be able to make you laugh aloud, it will keep you happy and pleasant. One Fine Day - You will watch this movie!

One fine day is a movie which is driven completely by the chemistry between George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer. This is a movie with a single line story but with a strong storyline as to keep everyone with a pleasant mood till the end. Also, this is a very different movie as the whole movie takes place in One Fine Day, within a spam of 24 hours. Other movies which I know of which take place in a short spam are Cellular, PhoneBooth and 16th Block, all being action and thrilling movies.

Jack Taylor is a reporter who isn't used to do everything on his own and Melanie Parker is an architect who does everything on her own, happen to meet one fine day. Because of the habit of Jack, both Jack's daughter Maggie and Melanie's son Sammy miss their field trip. The first impression being so bad and with her previous experiences, Melanie snubs and insults Jack. AS though this is not enough, Sammy and Maggie has certain amount of dislike for each other.

Having set such a relationship, situations make them to meet very often and forces them to help each other. Jack, falls for Melanie on the first sight though irrespective of her attitude towards him, but Melanie keeps the attitude and holds a sting in my tongue whenever she talks to him. Out of a desparate situation, she asks for help to Jack, which he does perfectly.

Melanie also starts to like him later seeing him caring his daughter so much and being funny and charming. Thank God again to those situations which perfectly give both of them chances to express themselves and the movie ends with a cute romantic and egoistic fight between the beautiful couples.

This is definitely a feel good, pleasant movie which will easily suite those who love romantic comedy genre, at least it suited me very much and I have already seen this more than five times. Click here to watch the trailer and here to see one of favourite dialogues.

Anger Management - Laughter Management

I like comedy movies no matter how it makes me laugh and how much it makes me laugh. Due to my friend's recommendation I saw this movie, Anger Management. I can't say that you have to watch it at any cost, but what I can say is, this is an okay movie you can hang out for at least one time. My second Adam Sandler movie, so I can't compare where does this stand amongst his movies.

David (Adam Sandler) thinks low of himself and he angers himself for the society treating him like a bloody crap. He feels too lowly even to demand the rightful promotion from him boss. He does all the work the boss has to do for years without even asking for his well deserved promotion. He just happens to get messed up in a flight and thus he is put in a twenty hours of Anger Management course by Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson), and then his life is completely changed.

Buddy has a definite vengence on Dave and he treats him badly and makes him to have more and more Anger Management classes. He then becomes him 24\7 anger guardian and tortures in every possible way. Buddy then comes to know David's beautiful girl friend Linda (Marisa Tomei) and he then flirts with her. Buddy even makes sure that Dave breaks up with his girl friend.

But David is in such a situation that, if he disobeys Buddy, he will have to spend an year in jail. He obeys every one of his orders. Finally ending up in fighting with his school days enemies, embarrassed by a hooker, threatening his boss for promotion and at last losing his girl friend to that same bloody Buddy.

What Dave does in those situations and whether he gets his girlfriend back or not, is the climax. I have to admit that climax sucked my big time. Why didn't they come up with a better (at least an okay) climax? But this movie gave me some good laughs, especially when Jack Nicholson tries(?) to unfluster Adam Sandlre in the bridge, was too good for me. Pride and Prejudice: Beautiful and Brilliant

Pride and Prejudice (2005) is one of the most wonderful novels I have ever read. My first classical novel also. Since this is the movie which is after that novel, I watched the movie with huge prejudice that it would be too good. And the movie didn't fail my expectations, in most of the ways. If you have read the novel, you could enjoy more when watching the movie. But I am not sure, how much anyone would like if they had not read the novel.

Well the name tells the story. It is the relationship between a proud man and prejudiced woman. Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) is a beautiful woman who gets prejudiced that Mr. Darcy is a very proud man. Though Mr. Darcy is not a proud man, initial circumstances lead Elizabeth to a strong prejudice that Mr. Darcy is arrogent, selfish, proud man.

But, Mr. Darcy, fighting against his better judgment, falls in love with Elizabeth, who considers that, Mr. Darcy is the last person in the entire world she would ever marry. Even though having such a strong prejudice, Elizabeth is made to believe that Mr. Darcy is not a proud, selfish or arrogant man by direct and indirect means. How Elizabeth could come out of such a strong prejudice and how they get along well is the rest of the story\movie.

I couldn't say much on this movie as the novel is quite complex with so many characters. Of course, the movie could not cover all the beautiful scenes of the novel, but IMO it is a very good adaptation of the novel. Keira Knightley is so beautiful, cute, pretty, etc. that she is the prefect fit for the character. She was also nominated for Oscar for this movie.

Most beautiful scenes of the novel are, Mr. Darcy's dance with Elizabeth, Mr. Darcy's first proposal (too good), Elizabeth happened to meet Mr. Darcy at his own house even after rejecting him, Elizabeth and Darcy's small stroll after they both understand each other, Darcy's explanation of the two offenses Elizabeth puts forward, Darcy's explanation of how he started to like Elizabeth.

I would strongly recommend anyone to read the original novel and also to watch the movie. A pure classical romantic novell and a pure classical romantic movie. My Sassy Girl - A lovely Girl

The first ever Korean movie I had seen in my life is "My Sassy Girl" and all I can say is, I loved this movie. Had it not been so much recommended by my friend, I would not have seen this lovely, beautiful movie. What? A Korean Movie? You have to watch only with subtitles and it will be boring, is what I thought first. But this movie proved it wrong.

This movie is about a helpless student, so he calls himself like that, Kyun-woo who has never fallen in love. Accidentally he meets and saves a living doll, (yes, I can call her like that... a living doll...), who is portrayed till the end as 'the girl' and things happen so as to keep them together for sometime. He sees the melancholy inside her and wants to heal her from her sorrows.

Instantly, they become good friends. Most of the movie goes as the hero gets hit by either 'the girl' or by someone else. At some point, they both realize that they are not just friends but greater than friends. But 'the girl' comes to conclusion that they have to be separated. Separated for two years. She asks him to write what he thinks about her and she also writes what she thinks about him. They put both the letters in box and bury it under a tree, under a contract that after 2 years, they will come together and read it.

And you know what? This movie is a real story of a guy. The guy wrote this on internet in that 2 years cooling time and it became this movie, "My Sassy Girl". Why did 'the sassy girl' ask him to be separated though she liked him very much? Why does she have a bad temperament? Why does she drink like hell? What happens after 2 years? Everything is explained in the last 20 minutes of the movie.

Well, I can say, that this movie could have been made as a one hour forty five minutes movie, reducing the length by thirty minutes. Some people may feel like it is too big or too much stretched. But the climax would make you forget everything and will make you even cry if you have that vulnerability. Almost all the scenes that are for comedy has embedded meaning portraying or explaining the girls sorrow and temperament. You can watch the last one hour for any number of times.

This movie made me to write a small poem when I first saw it (or a piece of crap) and it is: "It is not tears that come from her eyes... it is the purest form of love". This crap, sorry, poem also suits for the climax of You Got Mail, my most favorite movie ever. I almost felt the same touch as YouGotMail from this movie. Watch it and share your comments.

Hitch - In my opinion, a must Watch!

Hitch is the first Will Smith movie I saw. Both the movie and Will Smith left their impression in my mind for some time. It has been a pleasure watching the movie even for the 5th time, but the 6th time, some of the comedies made me to grin instead of laughing. But I can say that this is a pretty decent Romantic Comedy genre movie.

This is a movie about a guy, Hitch (Will Smith), who is a 'Date Doctor', who helps in people to get opportunities to get introduced to their love and help them to succeed in their love (but not exactly like a mama*, you think). He is a good guy (obviously, as he is the hero), and helps only people who are really loving others, not for those who are... nasty, you can say.

Hitch finds a girl, Sarah (Eva Mendes) in a bar, and falls almost in love at the first sight. Sarah is very much realistic, at least that is how she shows herself to the world and is very much pissed off about love and mythical good-guys. Hitch starts to use his own techniques to get acquainted with her and almost tastes success.

The real story plays around a very innocent Albert who falls in love with a celebrity Allegra and is helped by Hitch. In the meanwhile Sarah discovers partly what Hitch does for living and she misunderstands his job (she interprets him as a double MA*). She uses her powers to break Albert Allegra love and also she breaks her own love. How our hero sticks both of the broken loves is the climax.

This movie has a lot of comedies that will make anyone (at least me) to laugh whenever seen. A very serious subject, how hard it is to fall in love and how much love is lovable, is presented in a very hilarious way. I would say that this movie is a must watch in my opinion. She's The Man - Unbelievable yet Funny

She's the man is an incident driven movie more than a story driven movie. Viola (Amanda Bynes) has a great passion about soccer and she plays well too. But her school coach does not admit girls to play in the soccer team, who else will? She wants to prove that she is a better player and hence decides to join the rival school's soccer team, to take revenge, under her brother's name (Sebastin) as a boy; as her brother goes to London for two weeks. Two weeks are enough for her as the rival match is going to take place in two weeks.

What happens to her in the two weeks in the boys hostel is the movie. You know what are all the kind of comedy to expect from this movie and they are all present in somewhat fair way. The fun comes when she loves her roommate, Duke (Channing Tatum) and her roommate loves his class mate, Olivia (Laura Ramsey) and that classmate loves Sebastin\Viola, thinking that She Is The Man of her dreams. (By the way, Laura Ramsey is the most beautiful aspect of the movie.)

As Viola (as Sebastin) does not give a damn about Livia, Livia's friend advices her to make Sebastin\Viola Jealous. So, Livia flirts with Duke to make Sebastin jealous, but Viola really is jealous as she has already fallen in love with Duke. Incidences around these three people and how Viola manages to get a good name in the soccer team and how she proves herself as a better soccer layer and a better girl for Duke is the movie. Not to mention, the movie ends with a happy romantic ending.

But, I have to admit that, some aspects of the movie is too bad. Acting as one example, when Viola enters in to the school, every boy dashing her accidentally is just too weird. Also, most of the time, she talks in female voice and no one raises question about that. Some of the things... But this is a comedy movie and hence all logics Viola-ted.

If you just accidentally hit on this movie, don't miss it. But this is not so great a movie that everyone has to run and watch it without fail. Overall, a good time-pass. Amanda has acted really well in some scenes and really irritating in some other. But she is the best in the movie. Watch this movie and share your comments. 12 Angry Men - 3 of them are Oscar winners!

12 Angry Men is a unique kind of a movie I have ever seen. The name tells everything. It is a story about twelve men and all the twelve are angry. The whole movie is the discussion that goes on between the twelve men. I was biased about this movie by the rating it has (stands 13 in the top 250 movies ever) and by the friend who talked great about this movie (and who knows... he might have been biased by some other facts already). But what I can tell you is that, it is a damn good movie.

In a murder case, which seems 104% sure that the defendant is guilty, has come to the stage for the verdict of the juries. The 12 juries go to the jury room and start to discuss about the case. Interestingly, only one out of the twelve juries thinks that the defendant is not-guilty. How the single man convinces the other 11 juries who are so strong about their verdict and so angry on the defendant, is the movie.

There are two strong eye witnesses for the case and a lot of circumstantial evidences, like, the boy had a fight with his father and went directly to a shop to buy a switchblade knife, which was used to kill the father after some time, and the boy claiming that he lost his knife when he went to a movie after the fight, and, he does not remember anything about the movie when the police inquired, etc.

It seems very obvious that the boy killed his father when the discussion first starts. The one man who is against this proves to all prejudiced people that they may be wrong about this case. Let me tell you, the movie is not about proving that the defendant is not-guilty logically or scientifically or legally or Medically (like My Cousin Vinny or Liar Liar or Primal Fear or Legally Blonde). This movie is about handling people and their emotions in the right way to get the right result; also please do not think this is a movie about personality development.

If you ever get any chance of watching this movie, I would recommend you to watch this. Though this is a very old movie (1957) it is quite famous one, so you should not have trouble getting one. Prison Break - Heart Breaker

[Disclaimer: Nothing that will take off the thrill of watching this serial, for the first time, will be revealed, unlike, in some Tamil channels when they do cinema reviews: they will reveal the entire story (please do not come to fight me, for saying that tamil movies have stories in them... as some of them really do, no matter if the story is of 3 to 4 lines), like, for example, '"The hero is a beggar and the heroine is the daughter of very-rich-man\MLA\MP\rowdy-who-controls-the-entire-nation etc. Like no other movie in the history, they fall in love and that too the heroine will chase him and love him even though he will refuse for many times. The father of the heroine will oppose that and in the climax, whether they join or not is the story", they will tell the reviews like this, as though no one will know what the bull-shit climax would be.]

Prison Break is a world famous serial, which has 9.1 out of 10 rating in IMDB. The theme is simple. Micheal Scofield, a structural engineer, voluntarily goes to a prison, to break out of the prison with his innocent brother, who was set up with a murder of vice-president's brother. The prison he goes into is a well structured, well protected building and breaking out of it almost impossible.

At first, the main idea is to break out of th prison and get lost from those who set his brother up. But soon, the real problem comes when he finds out that, the people who involved in that set up are highly professional in doing these kind of business and killing people is as tough as calculation 1+1 for them. Micheal finds some friends as well as enemies in the prison. How he manages to break out of the prison and how he handles the problems which he will face after that is the serial.

There is nothing much I can say here without affecting the thrill, so let me tell you other things. This serial has 3 seasons with season one having 22 episodes and season 2 having 22 episodes and season 3 having 13 episodes, totally 55 (wow... what an arithmetic) each one with approximately 43 minutes. Once you start watching this, you wont be able to stop it unless some other important factor affects you.

I have seen my friends (including me) watching this for full nights, till 3:30 AM or 4:30 AM or 5:30 AM as we were not able to stop watching it. It is highly recommended for anyone having any interest in movies. By the way, it wont look like a serial, you can imagine this to be a movie which runs for about 40 hours. I have already spoiled some 4 friends (making them to stay awake throughout nights) with this serial. So, if you get any chance for seeing this (or you can get from me if you know me personally [as though anyone who don't know me will ever read my blogs ;)])

Enchanted - You will sure be!

Sometimes, you will like a movie for no reasons and sometimes you will hate a movie for no reasons. This movie had fallen in the first category for me. Enchanted... I felt enchanted after seeing this movie. It is a typical fairy tale movie with no new creative ideas. No twists and turns. No breath taking scenes. Nothing. But the movie, in my opinion is 'Damn Good'.

Princess Giselle (Amy Adams) is sent from the fairy tale world to the real world by an evil witch to prevent her from marrying her stepson. How the princess react to the real world is the story, or we can say the movie. Giselle, in her fairy tale world Andalasia wants to have a true love's kiss. She meets a prince, Prince Edward (James Marsden) and falls in love. But the prince's stepmother tricks Giselle and send her to a world the next day, where there is no true love or no 'Happily Ever After', and that is our world.

In the world, she is being rescued by a lawyer Robert Philip and the clash between her world and real world starts. Slowly Giselle's view about falling in love at the first sight changes and slowly she starts to love Robert. When they are almost in sync, prince Edward comes and meets Giselle and Giselle parts from Robert leaving her heart there.

Since Edward and Giselle meet each other, the stepmother, the witch also comes to the real world to kill Giselle and tricks her to eat a poisoned apple. The only cure for the poison, as you could easily guess, is a true love's kiss! As you could easily guess, Edward first tries to save her, but she is not cured and Robert tries to save her and she comes back to life. Then there is a small graphics feast (not so much good), and the evil stepmother dies and Robert and Giselle lives Happily Ever After in our world.

You may think, 'then, what the hell is about Price Edward?'. Similarly, Robert was almost loving another girl called Nancy and Nancy and Edward goes to Andalasia and marry each other and they also live Happily Ever After. How is it? Nothing about movie is unique. But somehow, the whole movie radiates happiness and merry feeling. The movie is nominated for Oscar award for three of the songs in the movie. The music is excellent and will urge you to dance and the storyline will keep you laughing and happy. A feel energitic movie for all ages.

Liar Liar - One of the most hilarious movies!

Liar Liar is one of the most hilarious movies I had ever seen. It is more hilarious than *Bruce Almighty*. Of course I must admit that most of the comedy are related to adultery and not recommended for kids. So, if you are not a kid and want to have some real stomach-paining laughs, this is the movie you must seek.

Yes, the story is very simple. Fletcher (Jim Carrey) is a lawyer and because of his son's prayers, he is not permitted to tell lies for only one day. Yes, it is also one of the *what if?* movies and because of that real fun comes. This is one of the crudest curse anyone could get: Not allowed to tell lies. Suppose, your colleague asks you to review his\her code and the code seems like a bull shit to you. And, if you have to say to them with smile in your face, *this is the most bull shit code I have ever seen...* What will be your situation if this happens, is this whole movie.

Fletcher is one of the best liars in the world almost 100% lying always and he gets this curse. So, in each and every situation he tells the truth and gets in to *embarrassing* situation. Yes... if you like this kind of comedy, embarrassing a subject as in MTP, this one is for you. There is not a story line which we can discuss. The movie is full of comedy. So, if you get a chance, do not miss it.

You've Got Mail - My most favourite movie of all time.

*You've Got Mail* is a movie about sentiments and emotions. The story is very simple: A man and a woman who are rivals in business and are enemy are actually lovers over the internet without knowing the real identity and how they get together is the movie. This is the second movie in which Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan-Nora Ephron joins to give a romantic comedy movie. It is Nora Ephron's style to take a very simple story and make the movie a good one with the help of screenplay and brilliant acting.

Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) are friends over the internet by the name NY152 and ShopGirl respectively and they almost fall in love with each other due to their natural charm. But Joe Fox puts Kathleen Kelly out of her book business with his multi story book shop with stunning discounts, without knowing that she is his friend ShopGirl. Kathleen asks business advices to Joe over the internet without saying any specifics.

But whatever she does, she is not able to recover and she tends to close the shop. She wants to meet NY152 to get consoled and NY152 eagerly agrees to meet his ShopGirl. When he goes to the spot he comes to know that ShopGirl in Kathleen. He understands that if he reveals his identity then itself, she will surely ditch him to have put her out of business, and he could never get any chance to make her love him. So, he does not reveal his identity to her then and leaves the spot.

So then onwards Joe meets Kathleen as Joe itself and try to get a place in her heart. How he does that? How he makes her to forgive him? How he develops friendship with her as Joe also. How he makes her to love him, as Joe, instead of NY152? And how Kathleen reacts when she comes to know that Joe is NY152? Is the rest of the movie.

The music in the movie is excellent and it has about ten background songs, all being excellent. The climax song in which Kathleen comes to know about Joe, is a masterpiece. I could not help, I always get goose flesh in the climax because of the song and Meg Ryan's acting. By always, I mean all the 35+ times I have seen this movie. Cellular - Non Stop Thrill!

Cellular is a movie, which starts at one point does not stop until the movie ends. The whole movie is about a guy's 5-6 hours of life. How much a missed call can mess your life, is the story. The story turns out to be simple: A guy, Ryan (Chris Evans) , gets an anonymous call and the caller, Jessica (Kim Basinger) says that she was kidnapped and that she will die if he does not give his cell phone to the police.

The interesting part is that, the phone from which she makes the call is shattered and there is no guarantee that she will get a valid line one more time. Not believing her for some time Ryan makes sarcastic remarks on her but soon comes to know of the real danger. Not knowing what he is going to face he willingly starts to help her.

The situations turn out to make him a robber and a criminal. How he fights to make way for his pursue of saving an unknown family becomes the rest of the story. Despite the simple story, the screenplay is extremely well manipulated (of course there are some logical mistakes which we should not care. For example, Ryan steals a security guard's car but does not face any problem or chase from the cops) that it will keep us in the verge of our seats.

Bruce Almighty - When A Man Became God

Bruce Almighty is one of my favorite movies, not only because of the comedy flavor in the movie but also because of the sentiments it has in it. The story is simple, a man, Bruce ( Jim Carrey), who has never got any luck and has never got what he deserves, keeps complaining about the God that He is not doing his job well. So, the God (Morgan Freeman ) decides to give him all his powers and let him do His job! How Bruce does this and what becomes of him is the story.

Bruce, who has been complaining about God, does not do anything for the people. He uses the power to enrich his life by getting the job he thinks he deserves by forcing his competitor to be sacked, enjoying the love life with his girl friend, taking revenge of those who had once hit him, etc. But he forgets one thing, all this time, he has been very selfish and he never thinks about what his lover, Grace ( Jennifer Aniston) really wants. He just neglects her wishes and feelings, thinking only about him.

Eventually, he loses Grace. Sudden feeling of emptiness occupies him. He realizes his mistakes, but it is too late. Finally, he uses his power to get to know what she prays and is shocked to see that all her prayers are for his good. He has never cared about her, never took any steps to know what she really wants. He realizes how selfish he had been. Not able to repent to the fullest for his mistakes, he wants to give up his responsibility. And yet in the climax, with so much of emotions, he joins his lover as a real lover and the movie ends with a happy ending.

This is another *what if* movie by Jim Carrey, another one being *Liar Liar*. But this movie has more sentiments and emotions. The second half of the movie is devoted to sentiments where as the first part is full of comedy. The Bicycle Thief - will steal anyone's heart!

The story of *The Bicycle Thief* is very very simple. How far a man will go in a desperate situation and how far the poverty and unemployment will change any honest man. This story takes place in Italy after World War II, when Italy is struck with poverty and unemployment. Antonio, a poor man who hardly had any luck in his life has got an appointment for a job and for the job, he has to have a bicycle. Without bicycle, he will not get the job. Having no cycle with him, he sells all his left-out things in his house to buy a second-hand bicycle.

He goes to his job for the first day. The tragedy strikes him with a brutal blow; his bicycle is stolen on the first day. He has nothing left with him. So, he and his son go out in search of their bicycle. Searching every single bicycle they see. Wandering like a cloud which does not know where it should go. This is the most of the movie. As the time flies by, the desperation increases. He has to get the cycle before the end of the day. At one point of time, Antonio loses the hope and he asks his accompanying son to go to the house, so that he could steal a cycle that is standing outside a house.

His son not able to get on the running bus is left behind him where he sees his father stealing a cycle and is being chased by a lot of people. He witnesses his father being caught and being hit and scolded. The owner of the cycle sees this, Antonio's son crying there, decides to leave Antonio saying *This man has got enough of his problems*. Antonio and his son leaves this spot: Antonio bearing tons of embarrassment and pain in heart; his son with tons of fear and worry in his face. Antonio breaks into tears. His son giving his hand to his father and leans on him to console him. As the father and son leave the spot, hand-in-hand, the film ends.

Though I like to feel all kind of emotions through films, this one let me feel the poverty, unemployment, desperation, worry, tragedy and most of all the embarrassment in front of the child. In the climax where Antonio breaks into tears is still in my eyes. This is a 1948 movie, which is considered to be one of the best movies ever, is definitely worth watching at least once; a sentimental, touching movie. Watch this movie and share your comments.

Legally Blonde - Morally Blonde.

Legally Blonde is a movie about a brilliant blonde [blonde: A girl with blonde hairs, who in generally considered to be brainless but beautiful] who is rejected by her boyfriend just because he thinks that she is not smart enough to marry him. After having all affairs, he just says that his family wants him to be a lawyer and that he will marry only a lawyer. The blonde Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon), is a fashion designer. Desperate to do anything to make her love success, she decides to join the law school. She tries hard to get an admission in law school and gets it.

Elle goes to law school to find her boyfriend engaged to another law student. She does not lose hope and still tries to get her love back; but in vain. She is despised by her boy friend again and again and is terribly insulted. She decides to proove that she is intelligent. Elle works very hard and is hired by a famous professor to be an assitant in a defense case of a murder trial in which her boy friend and his new girl friend are also selected. The accused in that case turns out to be Elles' friend, who is innocent.

When working close with Elle, the new girlfriend of her boyfriend understands Elle and becomes her friend. Elle also finds vital clues for the case to make that case from the worst condition to a bad condition. But before makeing the bad condition to a good condition, she is being hit on by her professor. She could not bear that and decides to quit when her friend also talks bad of her just listening to what the professor proposed. Suddenly everything becomes dark and that she becomes a complete loser as she had lost the professor's help.

How she overcomes this situation and becomes a legal(ly) blonde is the rest of the movie. This is an okay-movie with comedy in its core. All the characters do over-action but in an enjoyable limit. Watch this movie if you happened to watch it and I could not say that this is a must watch movie. You could always share your comments if you had already wathced this movie. Click here.

The River Wild - Wildest River

The River Wild is a movie about a family, which gets acquainted to criminals accidentally and how they escape from them. Gail (Meryl Streep), the loving mother, plans for an excursion for her son's birthday, where as Tom (David Stra thairn), her husband, does not wish to come as he has some work to be done. He is workaholic and does not have a healthy relationship her. The excursion is nothing but rafting in a river enjoying the beautiful sceneries. Gail is a very much experienced rafter from her age of 18.

When the trip is about to start, Tom gives a surprise by joining the trip. Before the trip starts, their son meets a friendly guy, Wade (Kevin Bacon), who is also going to raft in that river. Wade comes to know that Gail is a very much experienced rafter by the son. Wade becomes the child's friend immediately and offers his cap and thus becoming a good acquaintance to Gail. Tom does not like Wade and his partner Terry at the first sight, though.

Wade and Terry just follow them and always want to be with them and Tom develops a suspicion about this. He warns Gail about this but she does not care. As the time goes, Gail also develops a suspicion and she comes to know about them when Wade sneakingly seeing her taking bath. At that point they want to get rid of them but Wade gets hold of their son and manages to spoil their idea. Wade demands Gail under the gun to help him to get passed the river. Gail realizes that Wade has become a friend, having the idea of using her to get passed the river and that they are the criminal who robbed a bank and are trying to escape to other country through this river and that they are even ready to kill Tom if he stops her helping them.

How they escape from them is the rest of the movie. This movie is full of beautiful sceneries showing woods and the river, the wild river. Rafting in the wild river is very much thrilling even when to watch it. Click here to watch the trailer, and you will know about this movie. This is an okay-movie, which is passive in the first half and thrilling in the second half, and is worth watching at least once. Wrong Turn - Never make it!

Imagine you are driving in a forest. You take a shortcut to avoid the traffic. You are driving in a route where no one is going. Strangely your car tires get punctured due an apparently purposefully laid nails on the road and you see another car which has also got punctured in the same spot. You feel strange about this and want to get help to get out of that place. There are five people from the other car and three of them come with you to get some help, leaving two of them in the spot. You four see a house in the middle of the forest having a lot of cars, punctured, standing outside.

You enter into the house to look for someone who could help you. There is no one in the house. But you feel something eerie there and start to explore the house. All the four of you disperse and search the house. You find a fridge and you open it. What??? You find a bowl of blood garnished by ears. You come out to see all the four of you having found parts of human bodies. You are desperate to get out of the house and you find that the cannibals have arrived, after hunting the other two friends. Now, there is no way to escape, but to hide in their own house.

You hide under a bed. They enter into the house carrying your friends. You see their foot steps. They have come near the bed. One of them stops. Thud!!! He drops your friend's body in front to you, such that you see the dead friend seeing you with tons of agony. The blood from the body approaches you. A bullet has also been dropped from him and he pokes his hand under the bed to get that. Will he catch you? Could you breathe Silently? Could you hold yourself from screaming? After all screaming is suicidal.

This is how the movie goes. Unlike other horror movies in which the subject of thrill is exposed at the end, Wrong Turn shows the cannibals in the start itself and how our heroes escape from them is the story. It has a lot of spine-chilling chasing, gore-mutilation, etc. A good horror movie, which is worth watching (in this genre). Watch this film and share your comments.

Irma La Douce - That is another story!

Irma La Douce is a movie about a honest, decent and an innocent policeman who falls in love with a streetwalker. Nector the police (Jack Lemmon), who first comes to that street full of streetwalkers, inquires Irma La Douce (Shirley MacLaine), about this area. Later when he rides the notorious hotel he has to arrest Irma also. During their acquaintance, he develops some attraction towards her. Later when he defeats the guy who guards(by beating) her she starts to like him.

Irma and Nector starts to live together; but Irma considers that to be a profession. She works for him to make him rich. Nector doesn't like this and he does not want her to make love with anyone. Then he develops an idea that he himself will go to her as a rich Englishman, Lord X, (the story happens in France and that is why it gets the name, which means Irma the sweet) and just play cards with her and give her 500 Francs; so that she does not involve in business any more. The happy Irma and the other friends start to spend the money.

To compensate the money they spend, Nector works in the night very hard and thus sleeps in the morning without showing any interest in her. She develops a suspicion that he goes to some other girls in the night and thus he has lost the interest in her. Irma, seeing Lord X to be so pathetic and genuine and Nector to be negligent and sneaky, starts to develop sympathy towards him (The Lord X version of Nector) and slowly starts to love him. This breaks Nector-Irma relationship to be broken and Irma wants to go with Lord X to England.

Not able to manager her and the situation, Nector destroys Lord X (himself) and the situation turns up that Nector has murdered Lord X. He confesses that he has killed Lord X and declares, he did that as he loves Irma so much that he could not let her go with anyone. Irma understands his love; but not the policemen. How he outwits the police and gets out of that murder is *another story* (you will understand the meaning of *another story* when you watch the film:)) This is a 1963 full-length comedy movie which is definitely worth watching. My Cousin Vinny - Oscar Winner!

*My Cousin Vinny* is movie about two innocent boys, Ben and Stan, who get charged with first-degree-murder wrongfully. Since they could not afford an attorney, they seek help from their family and get to know that Ben's cousin, Vinny (Joe Pesci), is an attorney. Soon they come to know that Vinny has studied in the law school for six additional years as he failed; a lot of studying:). The state law demands that, the attorney who represent the defendant should be experienced. Vinny lies to the Judge that he has been practising law for sixteen years. The judge anyhow suspects that Vinny is lying as Vinny behaves in a very un-professional way.

As the case starts and goes by, Vinny does a lot of stupid things that make the case very weak for them. The DA (District Attorney) has three eye-witnesses who could positively identify that Ben and Stan has entered\left the murder spot. Vinny does not cross-examine the witnesses in the preliminary hearing and thus the case goes for the trial. But when he is encouraged and helped by his fiancee, Liza (Marisa Tomei, who won Oscar for this movie), he goes to all the witnesses and inquires them. In the first day of the trial, when he starts to cross-examine the witnesses, he proves that all the witnesses have mistaken and\or lied. This puts the case in favor of Vinny. In the meanwhile, the judge almost discovers that Vinny has lied about this experience and that he is in-eligible for the case.

The next day, the DA, presents a surprise witness, who is an expert in tire marks, testifies that the tyre material of the defendant's car and the car that left the murder spot are the same; thus making the case very strong against Vinny. In a very critical time, Vinny discovers a breaking clue that could win the case immediately. He wins the case, at last, with the help of his fiancee as a witness, as she is an expert in automobiles and interprets that there is no chance for the defendant's car to have made the tyre marks. Thus we get a very happy and emotional climax.

Though the core of the movie is very serious, throughout the movie, Vinny does a lot of funny things that are guaranteed to make you laugh, especially the menu card joke. How he handles the judge is also very funny. This is one of a very good hilarious movies, which definitely worth watching. The Rainmaker - John Grisham's most favourite.

This movie is based on the novel *The Rainmaker* by John Grisham. The story is about an young man, Rudy Baylor (Matt Damon), who has just completed his degree, and gets a job in a firm. He is associated with a short guy, Deck (Danny DeVito) who has not completed his degrees, but who is very much experienced in getting small cases like accident cases. Rudy already has some cases in his hand: A case of claiming insurance, from GreatBeneift Insurance company, for a patient, Donny Ray, suffering from leukemia, who desperately needs the insurance money to undergo a costly operation to survive. This case is the main story line.

Rudy encounters intimidating, experienced lawyers who are paid $1000 per hour by GreatBenefit for the insurance claim case. He is literally humiliated by those lawyers as he is very much in-experienced. As the case goes, Rudy becomes Donny's friend. Donny asks Rudy to take care of his family after his demise with the money he is going to get by winning the case. Later, in the middle of the case, Donny dies of cancer. Rudy wants to take revenge on GreatBeneift and fights his level best; gets some vital clues and help from his associate, Deck and manages to win the case.

In the meanwhile, Rudy meets Kelly (Claire Danes), who is admitted in a hospital, as she got hit by her husband, with a baseball bat. He learns that she is often admitted in the hospital in a very critical condition. He develops sympathy on her and talks to her and becomes her friend and later he starts to love her. Since Kelly has no one to care about her, she is destined to live with her husband who often hits her when he is intoxicated. Kelly also starts to love Rudy but is afraid that her husband would kill her and Rudy also. Rudy gets into a situation in which he has to kill Kelly's husband. But Kelly gets the murder weapon and asks him to leave so that she gets convicted, to save him. But she gets released as the murder is considered to be for self-defense.

This is a movie with tragedy, sentiment, friendship and love in the core. Click here to watch the trailer of this movie. Spider Man 3 - A piece of cake for critics

Spider Man 3 also has a great impact as the previous two parts; but now, there are a lot of criticism for this movie. The main reason is that, this movie is the longest movie in the sequel having a lot of sentiments and emotions and ofcourse a lot of actions. If you are ready to spare some sentiments of Spider Man, you will definitely enjoy this movie. The stunts are really amazing, astonishing and superb. Spider Man faces four villans in this movie including himself. All the action sequence are as usual excellent.

Fried or Foe: Parker's friend Harry becomes his enemy as he thinks Spider Man has killed his father and so tries to kill him. The real murderer of Parker's uncle becomes (an, almost, immortal) Sandman and Parker tries to kill him. When Spider Man is occupied by alien entity, he gains a good amount of enemity from his colleague\competitor who then becomes Venom, who is trying to kill Spider Man. Spider Man when in the alien's hold, behaves badly and loses his lover MJ.

How he handles all these, is the movie. It is little hard to accpet the Sandman's power (and how he gets his dress back after reforming from sand :-) ), why Venom's tooth are like fangs, how spider man could first take back the black dress easily earlier and then strugglles to remove it later, etc. But, this is a sci-fi movie which means, *Devoid of Logics*. If we could accept that a bite of a spider could make a man the SpiderMan and find it hard to believe the above mentioned things, then this SM3 will not be enjoyable.

When you enter the theatre (or playing the DVD), say this to yourself: *I am watching this movie to enjoy the superb animation and stunts sequence. I will accept the sentiments of Spider Man. I will not look out for logics.*. This will make this movie an excellent movie. Despite all the flaws, this movie is defnitely worth watching at least once in a big screen. Meet the {Parents & Fockers} - Only if you are an adult!

*Meet The Parents* is a movie about a love couple who wants to get the permission of the parents before wedding. First they go to meet the bride's parents. Her father (Robert De Niro) does not like groom (Ben Stiller) the moment he sees him. Robert De Niro is a retired CIA officer who has hidden camera's and mic's everywhere in the house to closely monitor the groom. This is how the movie goes. Ben Stiller finds it really hard to get good name from RobertDeNiro and in point, he is rejected by RobertDeNiro for his terrible lies. But since his daughter still loves BenStiller, he accepts him, but with one condition: All of them has to meet the parents of BenStiller to learn about his family and their culture.

*Meet the Fockers* is the sequel of *Meet the parents* in which BenStiller again struggles to comfort RobertDeNiro in his own house. Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand have acted as Ben Stiller's parents. Ben Stiller undergoes very much embarrassing situations in both the movies. Almost all the comedies are crude and sexually oriented. *Meet the Parents* have better sentiments and impacts than *Meet the Fockers*. Overall, both the movies are Okay-Movies. Primal Fear - Slow and Steady wins the case

This is a movie about an innocent 19 year old boy, Erin (Edward Norton), who has been arrested, for killing the priest who brought him up, in a very gory way. He is found running out of the murder spot with blood stains all over his body. When the entire nation thinks that Erin has done that, one attorney, Morty (Richard Gere), think that he is innocent and takes that case to defend him for free. As the movie goes, Morty finds that Erin is sufferring from Multiple Personality Disorder and that his other character, Roy, who is very viloent has killed the priest and Roy admits that he has done that to Morty (Anniyan has taken some part from this movie I hope so). Morty finds it hard to proove this to court and finally after much struggle wins that case. When everything is okay and when the movie is about to end, Morty goes to Erin and says this good news; then something happens in that movie, which is extremely good.

I was occupied by this movie and I could not come out of the movie for some hours. Edward Norton was nominated for Oscar for this movie for his excellent acting. This movie has a slow start and moves slowly till one hour and then it speeds up. A good movie which worth watching. See the movie fully and let me know your comments.
